Our Approach
Approach to Data Weighting
The data weighting process incorporates various methodologies to mitigate potential biases in the sample. Techniques such as post-stratification and calibration weights are employed to adjust the weighted sample, ensuring alignment with known population parameters and accurate representation of the broader Sulingituk population. It's essential to acknowledge any limitations or assumptions inherent in the weighting process, as well as efforts made to validate the effectiveness of the methodology. This comprehensive approach enhances the reliability and accuracy of the weighted data, providing a more nuanced understanding of Sulingituk perspectives.
Approach to Gender Demographic
The survey employs a multi-select question to capture diverse gender identities, including Female, Male, Non-binary, Two-Spirit, Other, and Prefer not to say. This comprehensive approach ensures that all gender identities within the Sulingituk community are accurately represented and respected.
Approach to Age Demographic
Data are segmented into: Youth (0-18), Young adults (19-30), Older adults (31-54), Pre-elders (55-64), and Elders (65+).
